More About Shelle

Shelle Rose Charvet has been a student of NLP since 1983 and continues to learn new things constantly. She has a degree in social sciences from the University of Ottawa in Canada, where she completed her studies in her second language, French. From there she worked as a grant officer for the government, working with community development organizations. Then she became a group leader for a Canadian youth development organization and lived and worked on a native Indian reservation in the north of Canada.

Shelle talks about this experience: “There was a huge cultural difference. I’m Jewish and the only reason Jews aren’t talking; it’s because they are dead. On an Indian Reserve the people don’t use words to communicate – they use silence. It took me a long time to stop filling up all the air with words. Finally I had the thought: Who needs to talk anyway?”

She became a Human Resource Manager for the same youth development organization, responsible for the Prairies and North West Territories region of Canada, traveling constantly to the isolated sites of the projects to manage the staff.

In 1982 she fell in love and moved to France, where she stayed for 7 years, working around Europe as a business communication trainer and consultant. In 1983 she encountered NLP and took the 2nd Practitioner program ever offered in France.

Now she is based in Canada, raising her 2 sons and works around the world. She would be delighted to hear from you and to have you visit her website.
